Nick Swisher launched 3 homeruns and had 5 RBI and David Huff racked up an
impressive total of 10 strikeouts as the Burbank Tigers beat the Chainsaw
Proctologists by a score of 11 to 2.
Swisher really 'lit it up' for Burbank. He cleared the fences for a two-run
home run in the 1st inning, lifted one out of the park for a two run home run
in the 2nd inning and cracked a solo homerun in the 8th inning. Burbank
ended up with 10 hits for the game while Chainsaw had 7.
Huff(5-4) went 7 innings allowing 1 run for the victory. Jon Garland(6-10) was
the losing pitcher. When asked about his strikeout total for the game, Huff
offered, 'The fan's really got into it. It is fun to see them tally up the
strikeout totals up there in the stands. Fortunately, I kept them busy
tonight - of course, it would be all for naught without the 'W'.'
